We truly believe that research and development is an important part of what we do. We partner with some of the largest software companies in the world. These companies have a multitude of choices as to who they can partner with. They also have a choice of building various technologies themselves. However, due to our exceptional people, these companies chose to partner with Simba and embed our technology within their software products. This is a true endorsement of the strength of our team.
Working at Simba is all about freedom, and we’ve built an environment that encourages creativity, responsibility and growth.
True to a software company’s form, we have the ‘usual’ theatre system with surround sound, DVD, Wii, PlayStation and Xbox, as well as a not too shabby video and game library. After all, we strongly believe in working hard and playing hard too. We also have full, private, on-site shower facilities, as well as lockers and bicycle storage, for those with active pursuits.
We have teams participating in events like the Vancouver Sun Run and the Aga Khan Foundation World Partnership Walk. In the summer, conquering the Grouse Grind is also a regular team event for many of our people. Our Social Committee also organizes many events including Halloween pumpkin carving, Easter Egg hunts, Friday lunch BBQs on our sunny deck, and all you can eat sushi lunches.
We strongly believe in giving back to the community, and we donate to charities such as the United Way and the Aga Khan Foundation. Additionally, we have set up endowments at various universities to fund scholarships for deserving students.
Our office is located on Vancouver's False Creek south slope, just outside the downtown core, minutes away from Granville Island and the cycling and walking trails along the seawall to Stanley Park.
