Vancouver, BC - June 25, 1999 - Simba Technologies announced that ClustRa AS, a leading provider of carrier-class data management solutions, of Trondheim, Norway, has embedded Simba technology in ClustRa DBMS. ClustRa DBMS is a high-performance, high availability real-time database for the telecommunications market, with international customers including Telcordia, INMARSAT, Telenor, and SED Systems.
ClustRa required a robust, highly optimized and fault resilient database access solution for its data intensive product. With SimbaEngine, ClustRa gives customers high speed ODBC and JDBC data access, opening their real-time databases to standards-based front end tools. Critical to the success of ClustRa DBMS, Simba's ODBC software development toolkit gave ClustRa the extreme performance levels required of database access in the demanding telecommunications arena while leveraging the availability and ease of use of commodity hardware and software.
